How exactly do I benefit from enrolling in the ACE Partner Channel?
As an ACE Partner, you are entitled to distribute, implement and provide support for ALCiE CE:
the free, fully-functional Oracle-based financial software. You perform and
charge for services related to ALCiE CE – including installation, interfacing
and support – which provides you with a new revenue stream. Additional revenues
can be achieved through percentages earned when your customers upgrade to payable

How do I know if I qualify as an ACE Partner?
Our general guideline is that your primary business is associated with one of the
following classifications: Business Solutions expert, Professional I.T. Consultant,
Systems Integrator, or Independent Software Vendor. However, there are many
specialty groups that could be considered ACE Partners. So, the best thing to do
is to fill in an enrollment form or, if you prefer, contact us directly to
determine of you qualify as an ACE Partner. One additional note: Since ALCiE CE
is an Oracle-based software, please consider your interest in these types of applications in
deciding to enroll in the ACE Partner Channel.

Is ALCiE CE a multi-user license software package?
ALCiE CE is a single-user system. As an ACE Partner, you can install the software
in any number of customer or prospect sites (one ALCiE CE installation per site).
For each installation, simply obtain a distinct license from AIS and register each
installation with us. This ensures that your customers obtain software updates, as
they become available.

Apart from the modules included in ALCiE CE, do I have access to other ALCiE modules?
Yes, as an ACE Partner, you have access to any ALCiE module on a trial license basis,
but solely for evaluation and demo purposes. Only the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
and General Ledger modules are completely free of charge – for both you and your customers.

Is the Oracle database included with ALCiE CE?
ALCiE CE only includes the applications that access the database. You must obtain the
Oracle database separately, but we would be pleased to assist you in this process. FYI: Thanks
to Oracle Database Express Edition, you can have the leading database software free of charge!

What is Oracle Database Express Edition?
This is the free version of the Oracle 10g Database. Express Edition
is free to download, develop and deploy with any application. In our case, we can bundle
ALCiE Complimentary Edition with this free Oracle Database to deliver a zero-cost accounting
solution!

My customer has been using ALCiE CE and, until now, this was sufficient for their needs.
But they are in the process of expanding, so they want to add users and are considering
additional ALCiE modules. What are their options?
The great thing about ALCiE CE is that it is the identical set of applications as those contained
in ALCiE SME (Small and Mid-sized Enterprise) Edition. This means that your customer can seamlessly
upgrade to ALCiE SME. Alternatively, if your customer's business needs will become even more diverse
over time, then ALCiE Enterprise Edition may be the preferred option. The latter is the original
software from which ALCiE SME and ALCiE CE are derived; therefore, upgrading to the Enterprise Edition
is also a painless process.

We do not put any restrictions on the type of end-user that may install and use ALCiE CE.
However, most companies have established policies regarding the software that may be
installed and used within the organization. Therefore, you should verify whether or not
installing ALCiE CE would require company approval. If you know that you are allowed to
install and run ALCiE CE, then you can order the software through the ACE Partner Channel.

How many people (users) can I set up to run ALCiE CE?
ALCiE CE is a single-user system. Moreover, it is delivered with a predefined user,
ready for you to start using ALCiE CE “right out of the box”. Additional users are
available with an upgrade to ALCiE SME.

How long can I use ALCiE CE for free? Is this a time-limited license?
ALCiE CE can be used freely for as long as desired. More good news: Even the Oracle database
on which ALCiE CE runs could be yours at no cost! That's because Oracle's "Express Edition"
Database is free. Contact us for more details. We will be happy to assist you in
obtaining this version of the Oracle database.

Is there a limit to the volume of data that can be transacted and stored in ALCiE CE?
ALCiE CE imposes no limit on the number of transactions that may be processed through
its applications. As far as the volume of data that can be stored, or other database
restrictions, this is determined by the type database license you have acquired from
Oracle. Please refer to your database software license agreement. As an Oracle Database
reseller, we can also assist you in making this determination.

What specifically is included in ALCiE CE?
The ALCiE CE package consists of the following modules and features:
General Ledger: G/L is a functionally rich financial application designed to process all
transactions in your organization, whether entered directly in the G/L module
or automatically captured from other installed modules. On-line Inquiries
provide drill-down capability into Accounts Payable and Receivable
transactions. Features include: Journal Entry and Reversing Entries, and custom
report writing. A virtually unlimited assortment of financial statements and
management reports can be produced.
Accounts Payable: A/P is a multi-use financial application that can record payable
transactions from various operational sources (purchase orders, expenses, payroll, etc.)
and from other General Accounting transactions. It supports
multiple sub-ledgers, banks and currencies. It also features a detailed Vendor Master,
virtually unlimited vendor mailing addresses, payment flexibility and manual check processing.
Accounts Receivable: A/R is a versatile financial application, that includes the
standard functions – such as invoicing, cash receipts, debit/credit processing – as well
as the capability of capturing pertinent customer information that can be used to better
serve your customers. It supports multiple A/R sub-ledgers, banks and currencies; and provides
the ability to enter inter-company transactions. It also features a detailed Customer Master,
including multiple ship-to addresses per customer account.
